Hi there,

No, not at all! This website is for everyone..wanting to give people confidence and to break down some of the barriers in the wine world. No cobwebs here!

I love Echo Falls as a brand. I think they target their wines really well and make them easy to understand with good labelling and this in turn helps the consumer to pick the right wine for them. And their Merlot is a firm favourite with many, and is well stocked in most outlets.

Have you tried any other of their grape varieties? As you feel confident with the brand why not try something different? Or if it is Merlot you like, then try some of the Old World Merlots...you will taste the difference and be amazed at the contrast even with the same grape variety!

Have a look at the Grape Variety section on the website for more information on Merlot and other areas/countries to explore with this grape variety.

Thanks for your interest in the site.

Happy Wine Tasting and discovery!

My favourite at the moment is Echo Falls Merlot. Is my taste too basic for this site?

Can anyone help! I suffer from very bad migraines every time I drink wine, any colour, I've even tried organic wines but same thing! I love my wines and I'm sure there must be someone out there that can tell me what I'm allergic to and at same time tell me if there are certain wines I can try without being ill, even after just half a glass, sadly!
Look forward to hearing back from you out there!
Nettie

I am living in Marbella for around 10 years and recently a wine merchant has opened a small shop just around the corner and they stock some of the more medium priced wines (not the crappy supermarket ones)

I found a great red wine from the ribero del duero region in Spain for €28 per bottle (off the shlef price) called TINTO PESQUERA

I have never tasted a more full bodied red in my life, its totally sumpteous!!

I bought a few bottles of the 2005.
